Floor-to-ceiling glass front with frameless door for a custom cedar sauna in a Kitchener home.
The Project
For a custom cedar sauna, DSR Glass built the full glass front — fixed panel and frameless glass door set directly into the cedar framing, rated for the heat and humidity swings a sauna lives through.
Scope of Work
- Floor-to-ceiling tempered glass front, custom-measured to the cedar opening
- Frameless glass door with heat-rated hinges and handle
- High-temperature gaskets and seals
- Tight scribe to the wood framing — no bulky metal frame
- Final adjustment for smooth, sealed door swing
Project Details
The Approach
Sauna glass has to handle rapid temperature swings and constant moisture. We used tempered glass with high-temperature hardware and gaskets, set directly into the cedar for a clean, frameless look.
The full-glass front keeps the sauna feeling open to the room while sealing in heat — custom work, measured and fitted on site.
